Buffalo Chicken Burgers

These buffalo chicken burgers are super moist and tender and make a healthy and easy lunch! Pop it in a bun or throw it on top of a salad, either way you have a delicious meal!
Course: Main Course
Servings: 4 patties

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 3.5 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 1 tbsp minced scallions

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, and hot sauce.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, salt, celery salt, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, scallions, and hot sauce mixture.
  • Use your hands to mix it all together and evenly combine. Do not overwork.
  • Split the mix into 4 equal parts and loosely pack 4 patties.
  • Bake on a parchment paper covered baking sheet for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads 165F.
  • Cooked this way, the patties will be extremely tender, almost like a meatball. If you want to add some additional texture, you can sear them for a minute or two on each side after you take them out of the oven. Alternatively, you can grill these or cook them in a pan, but I really like the tenderness you get from baking in the oven.

Notes

I like these served with my horiatiki salad (recipe here), but you can eat them on a bun, or however you like best!
